Description	Board mounted photograph of of Eric Arthur Blair as a youth (r), ready to play croquet with Guinever [Laura Olivia Norsworthy] and [Robert] Prosper [Gedye] Buddicom (l) at the Buddicoms' paternal grandparents' home near Church Stretton. All are leaning on croquet mallets. Original annotated on reverse "W S Buddicom Photo - Sept 1917". The Buddicoms were childhood friends of Orwell and his younger sister, Avril. Original plus an enlarged print.
