AdminHistoryIn 1900 a licence was granted to Ernestine Young to run a boarding house for the school in 'Leura' on Landsdown Road. Around 1906 another boarding house was licensed at 21 Camden Crescent under Miss Brookes. By 1919 the school had two licensed boarding houses, Lansdown Grove Lodge, under Miss Saunders and Miss Moore and 'Rockville' on Lansdown Hill, under Miss Lane Fox. In 1921, Miss Saunders supervised all the boarders and moved into 28 Royal Crescent, before later moving into 'Beaumont' on Landsdown Road in 1928. The school took over the lease of Beaumont in 1931. The school was also served at a boarding house at 19 Sion Hill run by Mrs James. After the World War Two, 'Beaumont' became over crowded and part of 'Woodville', a boarding house of the Royal School, was rented as a temporary measure. In 1947 the school bought 4 Lansdown Crescent to be the senior boarding house and 'Beaumont' became the junior boarding house. 4 Lansdown Crescent was closed in 1974 and the Beaumont followed in 1977.
