Title	'School Meals Working Party'

Description	Including Minutes of meetings and working notes. The Working Party was appointed by the Council to look into the burden placed on the Trust's finances by the increasing deficit caused by providing school meals at less than the cost of the food. The Direct Grant School Regulations required a meal must be provided for all children funded by the grant but after the withdrawal of the grant the working party had to decide whether the provision of meals should continue in its present form; whether charges should be increased; whether the schools were catering for the needs and wishes of the age groups concerned.
