| Title | Letter from Jean François De Luc, in Amsterdam to his father Jean André De Luc, in London |
| Date | 29 Jan 1781 |
| Description | Talking at length about the business during the current conflict between England and Holland, presumably the Fourth Anglo-Dutch War. Jean François mentions that he thought about taking a special interest in the trade with St Eustache, but there was a strong possibility that the territory would not be a Dutch colony for much longer. Finally, he transcribes an extract from a letter he had received from his friend Mr Lefore, recounting his recent trip throughout the Alps. |
