Contains poetry (chiefly Romantic) throughout (in one, possibly two hands). Annotated by William St Clair on the front and rear pastedowns with the names of poets whose works he was able to identify, as well as a "Fascinating selection of Byron giving further weight to the suggestion in my Cambridge lecture" and listing the principal works by Byron found in the book. Some of the other authors identified by St Clair include Moore, Thomas Campbell, Montgomery, Amelia Opie, Felicia Hermans, Walter Scott and Wordsworth. |
